Competition (free): Sitrep.

Well I'm a bit late with  my weekly blog. Life as you all well know. Even my late shifts started at 08.00 hrs and went on 'til 22.00 hrs (no bloody extra payment though). So no time for gaming. My SPUnK project has stuttered, just did some undercoating, no painting. I was also toying with a new programme, paint.net. It's free, and it does what I want. I know some of you guys will have more powerful stuff, but if you don't give it a spin. (Check out 'The Winter of  '79, to see some of the cute book covers!) I also did start the next game (Protection) and I'm on Turn 10, postings to follow.

So to make up for it I've initiated my soon to be annual 'blog birthday' comp. This year it's a 'Guess the Bob' comp. My given name is Lorcan, but my parents signed me up as Robert when they came to England. They felt that I would get bullied with my Gaelic name ( it was in the era of 'No Dogs, No Blacks, No Irish'). Therefore I'm generally known as Bob.

So without further ado which one of these fine chaps is me. They are numbered from left to right 1,2,3,4.

A Fine Crew

Selected your guess and post it. The tie break is your favourite film quote, so add that on also and my favourite wins!

Mine is:  "When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favourite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yes sir, the check is in the mail." (Kurt Russel as Jack Burton- Big Trouble in Little China.)

And the prize. Well the Buddha statue. You 'Vietnam' Gamers may like it.

Keep safe out there.

Lorcan/Bob.

  4. I am going with #2, based on some silly detection skills based on your age and your profession.

My quote is from the Clint Eastwood film "White Hunter Black Heart":

'Then finally, I leaned over to her and I said, "Madam, I have dined with some of the ugliest goddamn bitches in my time. And I have dined with some of the goddamndest ugly bitches in this world. But you, my dear, are the ugliest bitch of them all."

  5. Your real name is Lorcan (great name, btw), you can't be anyone else but no. 1.

I don't really have the favorite quote, but I mutter the-best-movie-ever's theme. You know nana na naaa na na naaa ta na na na ta na na na na! (Indiana Jones)
